Bournville have made seven changes to the starting XV for Saturday’s National Two West match against leaders Camborne at Avery Fields (2.30pm).
Wing Nathan Decalmer, fly-half James Mann, openside flanker Adam Shaw and tighthead prop Stef all return from injuries which ruled them out of last week’s defeat at Hornets. Ben O’Sullivan switches to the blindside flank to accommodate Shaw.
Jonjo Fanning, whose work commitments prevented him from playing in that match, returns at number eight having played in the second-row for the Blues in their league victory at Dudley Kingswinford instead.
Centre Rob Knox and loosehead prop Clarkson McLeod, who impressed off the bench at Hornets, both named as starters this week.
Hooker Ben Rhodes, who also played for the Blues last week, returns to the squad as a replacement along with Mikey Ho whose appearances have been restricted by injury since he returned from Old Saltleians during the summer.
Bournville go into Saturday’s match unbeaten in their last eight home league matches, a run that stretches back to January when another Cornish club, Redruth, won 29-25 at Avery Fields.
Camborne were beaten 46-35 in their visit to the ground last season but have started the new campaign in impressive style and have won five of their first six matches, with their only defeat coming on the road at Loughborough Students three weeks ago.
Since then Camborne hooker Ben Priddey has scored a hat-trick of tries in each of their last two matches against Hornets and Hinckley to take his tally to 13 in the first six weeks of the season.
Last season Royal Navy player Priddey was the league’s leading try-scorer with 31 in 25 appearances.
Bournville | 15 Owen Williams; 14 Nathan Decalmer, 13 Rob Knox, 12 Joe Nellany, 11 Alex Evans; 10 James Mann; 9 Freddie Morgan; 1 Clarkson McLeod, 2 James Weaver, 3 Stef Thorp, 4 Nick Murphy, 5 Ben Meakin (C), 6 Ben O’Sullivan, 7 Adam Shaw, 8 Jonjo Fanning.
Replacements | 16 Ben Rhodes , 17 James Burgoyne, 18 Kier Henderson, 19 Rhys Williams, 20 Mikey Ho.
*Bournville Blues have banked another bonus point win without kicking a ball as Cleobury Mortimer have conceded the scheduled Counties Three Midlands West (South) match they were due to host on Saturday.
It is the second time that a club has forfeited against the Blues since they entered the RFU Leagues during the summer after Pershore conceded last month but not the way they would prefer to ‘win’ matches.
The Blues now have a maximum 30 points from their first six matches.
