Bournville’s Mr Versatile re-signs

Bournville’s ‘Mr Versatile’, Adam Collingwood, is the latest player to re-sign for the 2026/27 in National Two West.

Collingwood arrived at Avery Fields from Kenilworth as a scrum-half but he had only limited opportunities to start in that position as Reiss Price made the number nine shirt his own.

But Collingwood still became an invaluable member of the Regional One Midlands title-winning squad, regularly starting at wing or centre and even filling in as a flanker for part of one match.

Collingwood rounded off an excellent first season with Bournville by scoring a hat-trick of tries in the emphatic win at Nuneaton where he started at scrum-half.

“Adam contributed a huge amount to he club in his first season. He played across a number of positions across the backline  whether that was wing, centre or scrum-half,” said Head Coach Alex Grove.

“Moving forward we would like to see him get a run of games at scrum-half which is his favourite position.

“But he did an excellent job at crucial times for us and he will take confidence from getting a lot of first team exposure in his first season with us.”
