The new Remembrance and Well-Being area at Avery Fields will be in use for the first time on November 8 for Bournville’s Remembrance Sunday Service.
The area, which was recently planted with 1,000 daffodil bulbs alongside male and female British Legion military silhouettes, has created a lasting legacy for all members, family and friends affected by conflict, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
This year’s Remembrance Sunday Service is open to all members, players, local residents and community groups.
The service will begin at 10.45am and will include a reading of the Ode of Remembrance, the playing of The Last Post and The Rouse, a two minute silence at 11am and wreath laying.
All sections of the club and community—of all ages—are welcome to attend and stand united.
If you or your group wish to lay a wreath, please arrive early or contact us at GM@Averyfields.com
