Bournville favourite Mikey Ho is to make a swift return to Avery Fields after a season back with Old Saltleians.
Ho was a popular figure and a prolific try-scorer in his first, three-year stint, with Bournville but opted to return to Old Saltleians – his first club – 12 months ago.
But the wing/full-back will be back in Bournville colours for the 2024/25 National Two West season, a move that has been welcomed by Bourns’ Defence Coach Alex Grove.
“Mikey is a popular character who is returning to Bournville,” Grove said.
“His key attributes are his footwork and his ability to punch well above his weight in the collision area. We’re looking forward to seeing him back out at Avery Fields.”
Before he first joined Bournville in 2018, Ho had his first experience of National Leagues rugby with Birmingham & Solihull having first impressed playing for Greater Birmingham in the North Midlands Three Counties Championship.
He has since gone on to win senior county honours with North Midlands and will be part of the squad that takes on Devon in the Bill Beaumont County Championship Division Three final at Twickenham on Saturday June 15.
