Jonjo Fanning returns to Bournville’s side for Saturday’s Regional One Midlands local derby against Bromsgrove at Avery Fields (3pm).
Fanning took a knock to the head which cut short his 100th first team appearance against Bridgnorth five weeks ago and forced him to miss the victory at Stourbridge the following week.
The number eight made his comeback for the second XV, the Blues, in last week’s Counties Two Midlands West (East) defeat at Harbury and scored a brace of tries to help secure a try bonus point.
His return to the starting XV against Bromsgrove is one of two changes to the side that was selected for the scheduled trip to Drybrook which was postponed due to snow.
Callum Nicholls moves from number eight to the blindside flank with George Jewell, who was due to start at Drybrook, on the bench this week.
The other change is in the centre where Mikey Ho returns to partner Sam Grimshaw with 17-year-old Oscar Fawkes-Underwood set for his second league start, this time at full-back.
Hooker Jamie Harding returns to Bourns colours on a renewed loan from Birmingham Moseley as one of the replacements alongside Jewell and prop Scott Rudge.
Bournville make a belated start to 2026 seeking to extend their unbeaten run to nine matches since they were edged out 34-33 by Bromsgrove to a last-gasp penalty at Finstall Park in mid-October.
Bromsgrove have since won five and lost three matches and arrive at Avery Fields fourth in the table, 11 points behind Bourns.

*Chris Idehen will make his comeback from a calf tear by captaining Bournville Blues in their Counties Two Midlands West (East) derby against Harborne at Avery Fields on Saturday (2.15pm).
Idehen, a former first team captain, will lead the Blues from number eight with former Harborne lock Ollie Morris as his vice-captain.
Adam Collingwood, who was inked in to play as a centre for the first team at Drybrook last week, will start at scrum-half for the Blues and form a new half-back partnership with recent recruit Rhys Williams Goldman.
