Centres Alex Grove, Sam Grimshaw, Mark Coulson and Josh Bloomfield have re-signed with Bournville for the 2024/25 National Two West season.
The quartet take the number of confirmed retained players to 24 with more announcements to come over the next week.
Grove won three Scotland caps during his career in top flight rugby with Worcester Warriors and Edinburgh and is in his second stint with Bournville.
He returned to Avery Fields last summer as player/defence coach and made a huge impact on and off the pitch.
The veteran, the son of local rugby legend Lawrence, was a physical presence in defence and attack and he forged an effective centre partnership with Grimshaw in the second half of the season.
Grimshaw joined Bournville from Gloucestershire club Drybrook early in the 2022/23 season having played his early rugby for Sutton Coldfield.
His pacy and elusive running helped to create plenty of scoring opportunities for the team and he also scored eight tries himself in a successful campaign.
Coulson has been part of Bournville’s journey from the Midlands Leagues into the National Leagues and has been with the club since 2017.
Injury disrupted his 2023/24 season but his experience makes him a valuable member of the senior squad.
Bloomfield joined Bournville from Stratford 12 months ago and made a successful transition from Regional Two West Midlands to National Leagues rugby.
He was on the winning side in seven of his 13 appearances and also scored two tries, the first of them helping Bournville to victory over Loughborough Students at Avery Fields.
