Bournville have added to their firepower for the 2024/25 National Two West season by signing experienced free-scoring wing Dan Rundle.
Rundle will arrive at Avery Fields having helped Rotherham Titans win the National Two North title but he is a familiar figure in Midlands rugby circles having previously played National One rugby for Coventry and for Stourbridge in National Two North and West.
During his time with Stourbridge, Rundle smashed the club’s try-scoring records before joining Rotherham 12 months.
His move to Bournville will see Rundle link up again with Matt Price, who was a team-mate during his time at Coventry, and Phil Maynard who was Managing Director at the Butts Park Arena.
“Dan comes to us from Rotherham last year but before then Stourbridge and Coventry,” said Bourns’ Head Coach Price.
“Dan has a wealth of experience and can finish very well as we have found out when playing against us.
“Dan will add a lot to the squad and will fit in very well with the boys.”
Rundle played for Westoe then Tynedale before he joined Coventry in 2014 and also played semi-professional rugby league for Coventry Bears during his time at the Butts Park Arena.
