Bourns snap up fly-half James Mann

Bournville have snapped up fly-half James Mann from Dudley Kingswinford, their seventh new signing for the 2024/25 National Two West season.

Mann played for Worcester Warriors Under-18s while he was a member of the Junior Academy at Sixways and studying at RGS Worcester.

He played his formative senior rugby for Worcester RFC where he was a regular in their Regional Two West Midlands side in the 2022/23 season and established himself as a play-making fly-half.

Mann moved to Dudley Kingswinford 12 months ago and made 16 appearances for them including their home and away matches against Bournville.

While at school and at the Warriors Academy, Mann also played at full-back and centre but it is as a fly-half that he has been signed by Bournville.

“James is a talented fly-half who is keen to develop his game and we’re confident we’ve created an environment at Bournville where he’ll be able to do just that,” said Bournville Defence Coach Alex Grove.

Mann’s signing continues the close season recruitment of the coaching team at Avery Fields following the re-signing of 28 members of the current first team squad.
