Lock Harry Dawson has confirmed that he is staying with Bournville for the forthcoming Regional One Midlands season.
Dawson first played for Bournville in the 2021/22 season on a loan arrangement from Birmingham Moseley and made his move to Avery Fields a permanent one the following summer.
He began last season playing for the Blues and, having performed consistently for them in the early weeks of their first season in the RFU league structure, returned to the first team squad.
“Daws is a very fit and powerful athlete,” said Bournville Head Coach Alex Grove.
“His ability to off-load in the tackle suits how we play so we are chuffed that he is sticking around.”
While Dawson has committed to another season with Bourns, scrum-half/full-back Freddie Morgan has opted to join Stourbridge having arrived at Avery Fields from Dudley Kingswinford 12 months ago.
“It’s a shame to see Freddie move on but large part of his motivation was to be able to play alongside his brothers which I understand,” Grove said.
“He is a talented player with the ability to play across the backline and he is a good goal-kicker. We wish him all the best.”
