Ho to make seasonal debut at Old Redcliffians

Mikey Ho will make his seasonal debut for Bournville in Saturday’s National Two West match against Old Redcliffians at Scotland Lane (3pm).

The experienced wing has been sidelined for the first month of the season by a neck injury but has regained fitness and comes into a re-jigged back division in place of Sam Grimshaw who suffered concussion in the high-scoring defeat against Cinderford.

Sam Peppitt moves from the wing to partner Will Tanner in the centre to cover Grimshaw’s absence with Harry Sigley called up as openside flanker.

Sigley replaces Jono Fanning who is unavailable for the trip to south west Bristol with Kieran Henderson switching from the blindside flank in another positional switch.

The other change to the squad that was on duty against Cinderford sees prop Scott Rudge return as a replacement in place of James Weaver who came out of retirement last week and scored the try which secured a second bonus point.

Bourns head down the M5 seeing their first win at Scotland Lane against an Old Redcliffians side who have a similar playing record so far this season – played four, won one and lost four and eight points – but with the host’s superior points difference keeping them a position higher in ninth.
