University pair commit to Bournville

Birmingham University pair centre Henry Harper and wing Will Loftus have confirmed that they will be staying with Bournville for the 2025/26 Regional One Midlands season.

The pair both arrived at Avery Fields towards the end of last season and both impressed when they were given their opportunities in the first team. Harper previously played National One rugby for Birmingham Moseley having previously played for Heaton Moor in Manchester.

“Will and Henry joined us towards the back end of last season ad their rugby commitments with Birmingham University had ended for the season,” said Bournville Head Coach Alex Grove.

“They both made a positive impact with the first team. Will can play across the back three and at nine. He’s a brave player who punches well above his weight.

“Henry plays centre and has a strong skill set which allows him time on the ball.

“We are looking forward to seeing them both next season in and around their university rugby commitments.”
