Wing twins Nathan Decalmer and Alex Evans have committed to Bournville for another season.
The pair have formed a deadly strikeforce since they arrived at Avery Fields two years ago, Decalmer stepping up four levels from Telford Hornets and Evans arriving from Manchester club Burnage.
They quickly established themselves as an effective combination in National Two West with Decalmer scoring 30 tries in two seasons including 19 in the 2023/24 campaign and Evans 16 in his first two seasons at Avery Fields.
Decalmer was recently included in The Rugby Paper’s National Two West Dream XV for the 2024/25 season and Head Coach Alex Grove is delighted that both Decalmer and Evans have signed new deals as Bourns prepare for life back in Regional One Midlands.
“Nathan deservedly earned himself a spot in the National Two West team of the year,” Grove said.
“His ability to finish off tries is impressive and this season we have seen other aspects of his game develop such as his defensive qualities.
“Alex will return to Avery Fields for next season after missing the last couple of matches to go to Australia.
“He punches well above his weight and is very strong defensively.”
