Bournville back-row forward Louis Mifsud is in line to win his third international cap when Malta take on Israel in the Rugby Europe Conference at the Tony Bezzina Stadium in Paola on Saturday.
Mifsud qualifies to play for Malta through his paternal grandparents and made his international debut against Cyprus in Limassol last year.
He won his second cap, also against Cyprus in November, and is now training with Malta’s squad ahead of a possible third cap on Saturday.
Malta currently top Pool D having also beaten Andorra earlier this year and have confirmed that Saturday’s match will go ahead with tightened security arrangements owing to the ongoing situation in Israel and Gaza.
