Women’s Taster Session | Thursday 26th October

Bournville’s Women’s section are running a taster session at Avery Fields on Thursday October 26.

The session is aimed at women aged 17 and over and is open to players of all abilities from complete beginners to more established players.

Bournville have a flourishing and expanding women’s section with the first team, the Golds, competing in the NC Two Midlands (West) competition and playing at an impressive and modern multi-sport complex with excellent changing and clubhouse facilities and three rugby pitches.

The taster session will run from 8pm to 9.30pm at Avery Fields, Sandon Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B17 8DT.

No specialist equipment is required just clothing that is suitable for outdoor sport. Studded rugby or football boots are ideal but trainers can also be worn on the state-of-the-art artificial pitch.

Although there is no scheduled rugby on the pitch at Avery Fields this weekend the clubhouse will be opening for live screenings of the two big Rugby World Cup matches.

On Friday England take on Argentina in the Bronze Final in Paris at 8pm and on Saturday it’s the big one with New Zealand’s All Blacks taking on holder South Africa, also at the Stade de France (8pm) in the final.
