Malvern 2’s 0 Bournville Blues 71

Bournville Blues stayed firmly in the Counties Three Midlands West (South) title race with a 71-0 victory over Malvern IIs at Spring Lane.

The Blues ran in 11 tries in another emphatic win hooker Scott Rudge scoring a brace in his first start since he returned from Stourbridge.

Centre Joe Nellany, who captained the side on his return from injury, also crossed along with Ben Harper, Jamie Avery, Matt Serrell-Cooke, Chris Crutchley, Bhairaj Rai, George Jewell, Alex Warner and Niall Demel.

Through the viewfinder

I have finally defrosted and can feel my fingers again.
In an effort to ‘spread the love’, on Saturday I journeyed to Malvern RFC to watch and photograph the Bournville Blues.
The game was played in a continuous fine mist with no lights.
Okay that’s my potential excuses for the quality of the photos out of the way.
Considering the conditions, it was an entertaining game. Malvern, despite the score showed great resolve, as did the ref and played on to the bitter end.
They were watched by an ever changing sized crowd, that seemed to increase the better Italy played against Wales.
Here are the photos.
