Hurricanes provide the summer entertainment at Avery Fields

The rugby union season may have finished but there is still plenty of activity on the pitch at Avery Fields over the summer.

Our sporting partners Midlands Hurricanes, the semi-professional rugby league club, have seven more scheduled home matches before the end of August including two in the space of four days.

First up is the visit of Swinton Lions on Saturday June 20 (1pm), quickly followed by Goole Vikings on Tuesday June 23 (7.30pm).

The remaining Hurricanes home matches are all on Sundays with Rochdale Hornets making their first visit to Avery Fields on July 19 and London Broncos back on July 26.

There are three matches in August to round off a busy summer with Keighley Cougars (August 2), Workington  Town (August 9) and North Wales Crusaders (August 30) following in quick succession.

All matches in July and August are scheduled to have 2pm kick-offs.

Full Bournville members have free admission to Hurricanes home matches on production of their membership card.
