Grimshaw and Rudge boost for Blues

Sam Grimshaw and Scott Rudge, who started in last week’s National Two West match against Luctonians, have been included in Bournville Blues’ side for Saturday’s Counties Midlands Three West (South) match against Dudley Kingswinford IIs at Heathbrook (2.30pm).

Grimshaw starts in his usual position of centre but Rudge moves across the scrum to hooker this week.

Both Grimshaw and Rudge have featured regularly for the Blues this season and are available this week as the first XV have a week off before renewing their league campaign at Cinderford.

Poland Under-20s international prop Kuba Kijak, who came off the bench against Luctonians, starts for the Blues this week.

The Blues head to DK with the prospect of going top of the table. They are four points behind leaders Woodrush – who sit out this round of matches – and second-placed Upton on Severn, who travel to Hereford IIs on Saturday.

The venue for the DK match has been switched from Avery Fields which had been pre-booked for a wedding reception.
