If you are not making the long trip to Redruth to watch the first team resume their National Two West campaign on Saturday there is still plenty of rugby on at Avery Fields to keep you entertained over the weekend.
On Friday evening two of the region’s major rugby-playing schools, Bromsgrove and Hereford Sixth Form College, will meet under the floodlights with a 6.45pm kick-off and the first of four scheduled matches at Avery Fields inside 48 hours.
Then on Saturday Bournville Blues take centre stage when they host Dudley Kingswinford Seconds in a Counties Three Midlands West (South) league match (2.15pm).
The Third XV match against Bridgnorth, which was due to be played on one of the turf pitches on Saturday, has now been cancelled but there is an Avery Fields double-header on Sunday.
Bournville Colts take on Camp Hill at 12pm with Bournville Golds completing a busy weekend of action with a home match against Stafford in the Women’s NC Two Midlands (West) league.
