Bournville Blues’ Counties Three Midlands West (South) match against Hereford Seconds at Wyeside on Saturday is off.
The Blues had named a strong side for the match including Malta international back-row Louis Mifsud, fly-half James Mann and wing Nathan Decalmer, who were all part of the first team squad that were edged out at Luctonians last Saturday.
But Bournville were informed that Mifsud could not play in the match as he has appeared in 63 per cent of first team matches this season when 50 per cent is the permitted maximum.
The knock-on effect was that the Blues were left short of numbers to fulfil the fixture as a competitive game.
A ruling has yet to be made on whether the match will be played on a new date or Hereford will be awarded the points.
