Bournville will give a debut to wing Sam Peppitt in Saturday’s National Two West match against Lymm at Avery Fields (3pm).
Peppitt arrived on loan from Birmingham Moseley this week and goes straight into the starting XV for the first home match of the season.
Peppitt is a product of the Kenilworth club who has previous National Leagues experience with Coventry, Loughborough Students and Barnes.
He will start on the left wing against Lymm as one of four changes of personnel to the side beaten at Redruth last week.
Adam Collingwood, who played on the wing last week, switches to scrum-half this weekend with Joe Jenkins making his seasonal debut at full-back.
Tighthead prop Jake Thompson and blindside flanker Kieran Henderson, who were both unavailable for the trek to Cornwall, come into the pack.
Reiss Price, back with Bourns on loan from Moseley and prop Scott Rudge who started last week are among the replacements against Lymm.
Lymm opened their season with an emphatic 50-27 home win over Loughborough Students last Saturday and will be making their first visit to Avery Fields.
The last time the sides met, in a National Three Midlands match in February 2014, Bourns were still based at Birmingham University’s Bournbrook ground.
The sides drew 16-16 on that occasion with Lymm edging out Bourns 23-20 at Crouchley Lane earlier in the season.
Since then Lymm have flip-flopped between leagues in the North and Midlands with their geographical location leaving them vulnerable to level transfers. They now find themselves as the northern outpost in a league with clubs from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Gloucestershire with Bourns, a mere 74 miles down the M6, now their ‘local’ derby.

*Bournville Blues will have their first outing of the season in a friendly against Silhillians at Avery Fields on Saturday (12.45pm) as a curtain-raiser to the first XV’s match against Lymm.
The start of the Counties Two Midlands West (East) season has been put back to September 26 due to ground conditions following the exceptionally dry summer but the Blues will now get in some important match practise ahead of their league opener at Woodrush.
Oscar Fawkes-Underwood and Patrick Smallman, who both started for the first XV last week, will line up for the Blues on Saturday.
Smallman is one of eight newcomers in the Blues squad along with wings Harry Housley and former Harborne wing Louis Stival, centre Elliot Tanner, fly-half Noah Beaty, scrum-half Joe Carter, prop Moise Tshiangala and replacement Gregor Watson.
