Two Bournville Colts have been named in the Greater Birmingham Under-18s squad for this season’s Houghton Harries Cup competition.
Hooker Sam Barnickle and lock/blindside flanker George Bann have already played for North Midlands Under-18s this season having impressed in the county trials with Greater Birmingham in the autumn.
They have now been included in Greater Birmingham’s squad for the Houghton Harries opener against Herefordshire at Bromyard on April 29 (7.45pm).
Greater Birmingham will then face Shropshire at Luctonians on May 2 before hosting Worcestershire at Edwardians on May 6.
Barnickle and Bann are both products of the thriving Player Pathway Programme this season and both made their senior debuts for Bournville Blues in their Counties Two Midlands West (East) league campaign.
