Community Group is thrilled to announce the launch of Avery Fields Community Foundation (AFCF) at Bournville RFC, in place of the Bournville Community Department.
The longstanding partnership between Bournville RFC and Community Group welcomes the establishment of Avery Fields Community Foundation. The AFCF is based at Avery Fields in Sandon Road, Edgbaston – the home of National Two West club Bournville – and is a partnership between Bournville RFC and Community Group. The decision to rebrand signifies a strengthened commitment to community well-being and growth for Community Group, Avery Fields and Bournville RFC, alongside our communities. The ACFC will build on the work previously done by Bournville’s Community Department and will aim to grow and strengthen initiatives aimed at increasing participation in recreational activities – not just rugby – across the age groups and making full use of the excellent facilities at Avery Fields.
Bournville front row forward Clarkson McLeod was recently appointed Community Group’s Head of Community at Avery Fields with responsibility for an extensive series of community programmes including school holiday multi-sport camps under the Government’s Holiday Activity and Food programme for children who receive free school meals.
